We concentrate on the following main practice areas:

Insurance Coverage and Defense

The firm evaluates insurance coverage on all types of insurance claims, and defends insurers in first party claims such as hurricane claims, wind and flood, fire, theft, etc.

We defend liability claims against insureds, including personal injury claims, legal and professional malpractice, defamation, officers and directors, etc.  We also defend direct action liability claims against insurers.

We assist our clients to understand the scope of their duty of good faith and fair dealing, and what rights they can legitimately exercise.  We are alert to ethical pitfalls and conflicts of interest.  We represent a Fortune 500 insurer as our main client.

Collections and Creditor Representation

The firm represents creditors in collection matters including foreclosures, suits on notes and accounts, garnishments, fraudulent conveyance actions, etc.  We have used the Texas turnover statute with success.

Church Representation

We have extensive experience representing churches and clergy in personal injury and defamation suits, as well as evaluating church-related insurance coverage issues.

Federal Causes of Action

We defend claims under the False Claims Act (qui tam), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and other federal causes of action.

Trials and Appeals

We are litigators.  We are prepared to handle trials and appeals on short notice.
